Mao Feng green tea (foggy tops) – green tea is one of the most famous, which is among the top ten famous teas in China. It has an unusually fresh floral aroma and a sweet taste. It has tonic and refreshing properties.
Place of origin
Mao Feng is harvested at the beginning of April from bushes that grow at an altitude of about 500-600 meters. It is cultivated in the mountains of Huang Shan (Yellow Mountains).
Ingredients: green tea.
Put 5 grams of leaves (about two teaspoons) in a Japanese Kyusu teapot or, in the absence of the latter, in a teapot, preferably with a broad and flat bottom. Pour 200 ml water at a temperature of 80°C on the leaves and after 30 seconds you can start pouring the infusion into the cups. To make the most of the leaves and continue the taste experience with this tea we also recommend to make two more infusions of the same leaves with the same parameters of quantity and temperature but varying the infusion time. Tea can be filtered for a greater ease in the moment of the tasting and also the times of infusion above mentioned want to be purely indicative therefore we can also regulate according to personal taste.
